标 题: 刚电话面试完,发个面经physic@uic

刚才面试了ui-chicago,教授开始两个电话都没人说话,估计是他电话坏了,后来过了两分钟
又打过来了,说话声音不是很大,标准的美语,听起来挺舒服.
me: hello
Prof: This is Mark Schloosman from UIC, are u ******?
me: Yes, I am expecting your call.
Prof: Ok, I am call to talk a little bit about uic and to ask about your inter
ests. Since you indicate you have some questions, why do you come first?(汗,把
球先踢给我了)
me: ok, eh... I have heard about the high criminal rate of Chicago city, so is
it safe to live there?
Prof: it's a interesting question! blablabla...(说学校很安全)
me: if i would be luckily admitted, who will be my advisor?
prof: blablabla...(到时候过去之后一年或一年半根据自己的兴趣再选)
me: typically, what would the students do after theie graduation?
Prof: blablabla...(大致有两种:一,去试验室做博士后,二,去公司 并列举了几个他的学
生,有个家伙去了华尔街,想赚很多钱!)
me: last question, is there a swimming pool on the campus? u know, i like swim
ming.
prof: blablabla...
me: so i have no questions, it's your turn.
prof: you have mentioned about your research in c.a.s. and fabricating SiNWs,
so why would you talking about it.
me: blablabla...(有点结巴,希望大家好好准备简历中自己做的事情)
prof: so would you like continue to do research about nano-science or wish to
change a topic?
me: nanoscience is ok. i mean.....(说自己想做一些比较贴近于应用方面的东西)
prof: blablabla...(我们系有个大group做的东西比较偏应用,还有很多其他的做基础研究
的组,不过觉得我不会感兴趣了,呵呵)
prof: r u considerring other programs?
me: blablabla...(说还正在考虑其他三个学校)
prof: blablabla...(表示理解,应该好好考虑,然后说一个星期之内给结果,有什么问题em
ail)
me: thank you
prof: it's my pleasure talking to you, good night!
me: it's glad talking to you, too! have a nice day!
整个面试大概半个小时,自己的研究经验要认真准备一下!这个教授好象还不错,mark l.sc
hloosman, 刚发了偏science,可惜偶不会去这个学校了!
